Welcome to Yee Farn Piano Studio
My name is Yee Farn, a pianist and educator with a Master’s degree in Performing Arts (Music), based in Calgary, Alberta. With over 10 years of experience as an early childhood music instructor and teaching piano, music theory, and harmony, I am passionate about guiding students of all ages to explore the beauty of music, from first steps to advanced study.

Faber’s Piano Adventures
At my studio, I teach using Faber’s Piano Adventures, one of the most widely respected and engaging piano methods for students of all ages. Known for its thoughtful balance of technique, creativity, and theory, this series introduces music in a way that is both approachable and inspiring. The pieces are carefully sequenced to build skills step by step, while also sparking imagination through enjoyable repertoire.
Whether for young beginners or adult learners, Piano Adventures nurtures musical growth with a modern and engaging approach — making it an excellent foundation for lifelong music learning.
Introductory Piano
The Piano Introductory Course is designed for beginners who are new to the instrument. Students learn the fundamentals of piano playing, including posture, hand position, note reading, rhythm, and basic technique. With a focus on building confidence and enjoyment from the very first lesson, this course lays the foundation for a successful and rewarding musical journey.
The Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM)
The Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) is Canada’s most respected and widely recognized system for music education, providing students with structured goals and internationally acknowledged credentials. I offer instruction in RCM Piano, Harmony, History, and Theory at all levels, ensuring students are well-prepared for exams and auditions. Following the RCM curriculum not only develops strong technical and theoretical skills but also helps students build confidence and discipline as lifelong musicians.
Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM)
The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) is one of the world’s leading music examination boards, recognized internationally for its high standards and structured approach to music education. I teach ABRSM Piano and Theory at all levels, guiding students through the graded system to build strong technical skills, musical understanding, and exam readiness.
